We always welcome new members, whether you want to act, look after our audience ‘front of house’ or help backstage with set-building, props, stage management or sound/lighting. You must be at least 18 years old, as we don’t have the required safeguarding facilities in place to accommodate under-18s, but there are other local societies who provide youth theatre opportunities
If you’re not already on our mailing list, please sign up to receive news of forthcoming productions, social and other events. You’re welcome to come along to play readings without commitment or paying membership subs
If you then wish to be involved in a production, either acting or backstage/front of house, you’ll need to be a paid-up MADS member (in order to be covered by our insurance). Subs are £15 per year individual, or £20 for a couple, and bank details will be provided on request. Voting at general meetings and serving on the committee is restricted to paid-up members.
