Anyone interested in drama and at least 18 years old is welcome to join us. We don’t have the required safeguarding facilities in place to accommodate under-18s, but there are other local societies who provide youth theatre opportunities

Usually the director will cast a play based on a reading rather than formal auditions (and all participants are considered equally, whether or not they’re already members). If you wish to be involved in a production, either acting or backstage/front of house then you’ll need to be a paid-up MADS member, in order to be covered by our insurance. Subs are £15 per year individual, or £20 for a couple, and bank details will be provided on request. Voting at general meetings is also restricted to members
